The Balustre Skirt

The Balustre Skirt is designed to weightlessly encircle the lower half of the body like a hollowed-out balustre. All pattern pieces within this skirt are individually lined, and all seams and darts are hand-sewn with a fagoting stitch, creating a delicate 2mm sliver of negative space between each piece. Rouleau loops and akoya shell buttons fasten the skirt at the center back.
